Antique Equestrian Themed Brass Bridle Rosetta Brooch
$45.00
Antique Equestrian Themed Brass Bridle Rosetta Brooch-
These antique glass domed rosettes adorned the bridles of horses in the days before cars and are often called bridle buttons. In later years many of them, like this one, were converted into decorative brooches. Sometimes known as "paperweight" brooches because of their shape and large size, they are highly collectible and come in all manner of different designs.
This equestrian beauty is in good antique condition. The decal is still strong and vibrant and the thick domed glass is in excellent shape. I love the blue background, it makes the colors of the horse really pop. Measures approximately 1.75" in diameter and 3/8" thick.
-Dates to early 1900's
-Measures 1 3/4 " in diameter and 1/2 " thick
-Brass backed with pin stem added for wearing
-Weighs 36.58 grams
